Inserting a listing
The following instructions assuming that you already have a Healthy Living account and have logged into the web site. If you need help with this please contact support.
Step 1 – Click on “My Account” in the upper right hand corner of the page:
Step 2 - Click on “Insert A Listing” from the left hand navigation:
This will bring you to the listing form:
Step 3 – Enter your listing
The listing form is made up of a variety of sections for you to fill out information that will be displayed on or searched by for your listing.
General Listing Information:
This is just like it sound, basic information about what will be displayed on your listing such as name, address, website, etc. It is also in this section that you choose which level of listing you are purchasing. Each level has a different number of categories that you can place your ad in as well as other attributes.
Categories and Symptoms:
In this section you are able to choose the number of categories and symptoms that the listing level that you have chosen in the previous section will allow. This section is broken out into “Health Directory”, “Fitness Directory” and Symptoms”. Please note that will they are broken out this way each category or symptom selected counts towards your allowed number.
Posting Text:
As indicated this is the main content for your listing. Depending on the listing level that you have chosen the number of characters allowed in this area will change. When displayed with other listings in the initial search results page a truncated version of this text will display. Once a visitor chooses to view the whole listing, all of the text will display.
Listing Image Upload:
This area allows you to upload an image that will serve as the “logo” or banner for your listing on the search results and detailed listing page. Please note that this image will be resized to a square so pleas ensure the dimensions are such that it will not be distorted.
Display Add Upload and Designation:
This area allows you to upload a display add that will be show when visitors click through to you full add. Usually this will be an electronic version of a print ad such as one that you might have in Healthy Living Magazine.
If “yes” is chosen from the “Display Ad Only” drop down this add will be comprised only of a thumbnail on the search results page and the full display ad on the detailed view. This option is useful for those that only want there fully formatted print ad to be displayed on the website.
Step 4: Submitting
Once you have completed entering in the listing information you may submit the form. If there are any pieces of information missing you will receive error messages informing you of what to fill out.
Once you have successfully inserted your listing it must be reviewed by Healthy Living staff. Once this has happened you should receive an email indicating that your listing has been accepted. This email will also contain a link that you will need to click n to complete the listing process.
This aforementioned link will bring you to a secure payment site at Pay-Pal where you will be able to pay the associated fees for your listing. Once the payment is approved, your listing will appear ion the website in the categories that you have chosen!
Step 5: Editing
Once your listing is live you have the ability to edit it at any time. Please note that Healthy Living staff retain the right to have final editorial say in what is displayed on this web site and should they deem your content is not appropriate they can remove it at any time with no refund. |
